Vision, Mission and Values

Vision—“Replicating the life of God”

Mission— “Risk”
Reaching the lost–Investing in the saved–Sending the trained–Keeping the faith

Values:
We value prayer: understanding it is the way God has chosen to bring His Kingdom, keep His people in intimate relationship with Him and cause His will to be done (Matt. 6:9-13).

We value discipleship: in which people are challenged and held accountable to grow in the Spirit through prayer, the Word, obedience and fellowship becoming more like Jesus. (John 14:31) (Matt. 28:19)

We value the empowering of the Holy Spirit for every believer: This happens through the Baptism into the Holy Spirit for all believers (Acts 1:8, 2:4,33,38-39, 8:16-17, 19:2-7) and takes place when the Holy Spirit COMES UPON a believer, this is distinct from the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The sign that this has taken place is the enabling to speak in tongues which is God’s source of power drawing from our spirit. (Acts 2:4,33 11:15, 19:2-7)

We value and nurtures a dependency on the Holy Spirit: believing that His job is to testify about Jesus and bring people to salvation (John 15:26, John 3:6). Individually and corporately we desire our lives and message to be marked “with power, the Holy Spirit and deep conviction” (1 Thess. 1:5). This happens by both the “indwelling” of the Holy Spirit as well as the Baptism into the Holy Spirit for every believer (Acts 1:8, 8:16-17, 19:2-7).

We value our gathering times: A gathering that allows as THE priority, the work of the Holy Spirit in every person’s life. (John 16:8-15) (1 Thess. 1:5) (1 Cor. 2:2-5). We value one another; understanding that our personal faith journey is not private but corporate as part of the Body of Christ (Eph. 1:23). This body supports another (Eph. 4:16) and encourages another (Heb. 10:25). Our gatherings provide the passion of worship, the power of truth and the experience of love.

We value showing the love of God to the lost world through relationships: In our gathering times we are not only friendly with those we know well, but we invest in the people that are new to our fellowship, opening our lives to them. (Luke 6:35)

We value community outreach:

that is driven by the desire to let people know we are here and to be a blessing to our local communities. We understand the purpose for which God has established us, which is to make disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:19)

We value the younger generation: and invest time, talent and money into developing relationships; for the purpose of developing a living faith in each student. For them to know God through personal experience and to know what they believe and why they believe it based on the Scriptures and sound reason. (1 Tim. 4:12-13) (1 Peter 3:15)

We value the older generation: providing a place for them to invest their knowledge/faith into those who are coming behind them and that will surpass them. (Titus 2:3-8)

We value and understand that the work of God will NOT be done by God alone: but understand that He has called His Body, the Church to co-labor with Him. If we don’t work the harvest fields then the harvest will not come in. People Jesus died for will perish in their sins and some believers will remain superficial and immature. God has put His Spirit inside of us and upon us so that we may re-present Jesus in this world. (John 4:35-38) (Luke 10:2-3)

We value the mission field and supporting missionaries: The Great Commission is to go. Paul in Romans 10:14-15 tell us that people must be sent. Just as Jesus and Paul had financial supporters to take the Gospel, we choose to support others taking the Gospel to the world.
